Something positive I already noticed from Pillowfort: People actually talking about their fandoms.

Not people defending why their fandom/ship/plots are good/not abusive. But talking about what they love. About what they want to see, what they already liked, their headcanons.

Without having to worry about a bunch of anti assholes attacking them.

Again, what was so hard about making mutual only posts?!

Considering the nature of Tumblr being about the open sharing of photos and microblogging, I can get why that never became an option here. This place was never designed with fandom in mind.

5) What was your first fandom you participated in here?

It was Yu-Gi-Oh….a fandom I hadn’t been in since way before flat screen TVs had taken off, but I found to be a breath of fresh air after Bleach and it’s still-raging ship wars.

I’m not nearly so active it in anymore with VLD taking over my life, but it’s a start difference in how close-knit I am with them than in some other fandoms. It was my YGO muturals that tagged my @kari-izumi2-electric-boogaloo account with my old responses and posts when this was purged, and I’m so glad for it 👍

11) What was your favorite post?

Damn….there’s been so frigging many, but that’s the blessing and the curse of Internet 2.0: you get so bombarded by info and it all runs together.

I’ll edit for links later, but that would have to be the Fandom Gif post. You guys know the one.

14) How many blogs do you follow?

At last count, it was somewhere in the high 500s. I rarely prune, unless I notice something really, truly off-putting or interests are just way too divergent.

It makes me sad that so many people are planning on leaving tumblr. I know it’s a terrible decision they made and I don’t like it either, but I was hoping my new sideblog lesbian-anzu-mazaki would get noticed on here. But it seems everyone is jumping ship for other places. :(

I really can’t blame people, honestly. A lot of people like our own @jujuoh are getting shadow banned for no reason. For an artist that relies on views for their livelihood, that’s a death knell for any site.

The female presenting nipples thing is just flat out sexism. Plain and simple. And even aside from that, they’re once again choosing the laziest route by depending on algorithms to do a good job of screening. My favorite Plance artist @honestlyprettychill got her recent Lance/Pidge kiss drawing flagged (I’m on mobile and can’t pull it up, but just search under Plance or Plance Kiss and it should come up). Like Juju, she has never post NSFW pictures.

Still others like @fiction-is-not-reality2 and @discoursecatharsis post no pictures and you have to find a post that they reblogged or commented on to add them.

And then, there was the whole bullshit two weeks ago about the purge. I got my account back: many others who got purged around the same time I did or later still haven’t heard anything.

FWIW, DW might be the best option if you want to run multiple blogs. Lots of folks do that due to RPs they’re apart of, but if @lesbian-anzu-mazaki was just gonna be about Anzu appreciation (a project I am always on board with), you can create a comm for that purpose too ❤️ Same for PF, although YGO fandom is really, really quiet there.

But to answer your question, idk “how long” but that’ll happen when the show does something that the antis dislike and they all turn on it. If/when they ever start to hate on and criticize She-ra, that’ll be one of the first arguments they’ll make I bet (”if She-ra was ACTUALLY progressive, Adora wouldn’t be a blonde white girl, make her a POC, that would’ve been better!!”)

Gosh, I had this post saved for exactly that eventuality, but I don’t anticipate this blue hellsite being around nearly long enough for me to see it.

Hopefully, DW will have resurrected ONTD and/or stupid_free by then.

Since the “leaks” seem to be taken down by trademarks infrigments and some of the same pictures are posted with different marks, we can infer they’re fake, right?

As we said several days ago, there’s a lot of debate and discussion around the leaked images, and we have no way to verify it, but we do think they’re legitimate. I personally received a DMCA notice from NBCUniversal (who owns Dreamworks), which lends further credence to their authenticity, in my opinion.

To be frank, I’ve read every “debunking” post I’ve seen, and thus far none of them have convinced me the leaks are fake. A lot of them rely heavily on animation inconsistencies (as if Voltron has never had those before) or comparisons to the leaked image posted by Ezor’s VA last year, which was from a completely different stage of production (original voice recording versus dubbing).

 As someone who researches and fact checks for a living and who has a strong track record of judging whether or not Voltron spoilers are legit, I say it’s 99% likely they’re real. Though obviously different people will have different opinions. We’re not interested in debating or discussing it any further, at least at this time.

Well, this is depressing. Not surprising but depressing.

So there was this post I saw explaining that a joke Plance leak–one that I saw for myself that didn’t come close to matching VLD’s art style and a complete joke–also got pulled for copyright infringement.

Make of that what you will. I honestly see no reason to be that bothered either was since I can’t do anything to stop it or fix it and i still have the earlier seasons left to enjoy.

As someone who does ceramics, that twisted, broken up fork would make an excellent tool for slipping and scoring, or maybe even just texturing. It would make a super cute bug print, or make easy, perfectly spaced lines at a farther difference than a typical fork. It can be used for creating, rather than just feeding some giant machine. Just because it wouldn’t be particularly good at being used as it is expected to be used, which is not to say that a creative person couldn’t find a way to make it work, does not make it useless. In the right hands, even the most seemingly “useless” object can be functional, or even groundbreaking in the right hands.

Also, people aren’t objects, and you dont need to be able to “use” them in order for them to exist.
